Patient satisfaction, in many cases, is attributed to patient access professionals. They are often seen as the face of their organizations and help to create positive experiences for patients and providers alike. In no uncertain terms, Patient Access professionals are shaping the future of health care.
Established in 1982, Patient Access Week is a celebration of the health care professionals who are dedicated to educating and supporting individuals in obtaining care services. The date marks the anniversary of the founding of the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM), the only national professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence within the field. Each year, the celebration spans the entire week surrounding the anniversary, April 5.
