Cerner and ResMed have joined forces to connect health networks and the home.

Cerner is excited to have established a collaborative agreement with ResMed, a world-leading digital health company, to designate the Brightree home health and hospice platform as our preferred solution in the space.

What is the Brightree solution offered by ResMed?

Brightree is a cloud-based solution designed to help improve clinical and business performance for home health and hospice providers. It is a comprehensive, scalable EMR solution with high KLAS scores. The solution features a native iPad® point-of-care app and a cloud-based back-office system to support home health organizations who want to optimize their business and the care they deliver to patients.

How does this relationship benefit clients needing to utilize home health and hospice solutions?

The Brightree solution can help organizations implement standards and best practices that maximize compliance, improve patient care, increase clinical and operational efficiencies, and drive cash flow through optimized billing.

We are also actively building integration capabilities between Millennium and Brightree. Initially, we will be focused on transitions of care, physician signature workflows, clinical document exchange and provider to provider messaging. Brightree was selected in part due to their positive stance on interoperability, and their flexibility in building tight integration with Cerner’s Millennium and HealtheIntent platforms.

Transitions of care

Support smooth patient transitions between venues of care with support for Direct Secure Messaging, naviHealth and more.

Documentation signature workflows

Enables plans of care and physician orders to be electronically sent from Brightree to the Cerner Millennium® Message Center, allowing physicians to electronically sign the documents and electronically return them to Brightree.

Provider-to-provider messaging

Functionality to communicate bi-directionally with providers and include documentation like outbound notes and encounter summaries.

CommonWell Health Alliance

Transfer clinical documents via CommonWell®, of which Brightree is an active member.
