Webinar: Operating in the new normal - response and looking toward recovery

by Cerner Corporation

Published on 6/18/2020

In this June 10 American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) webinar, leaders from Children’s National and East Jefferson shared stories from the front lines on how their organizations have responded to the pandemic. Leaders also addressed practical applications of what they’ve learned as they move into recovery. Facilitated by Dick Flanigan, FACHE, SVP of Cerner ITWorksSM, the discussion highlighted some of the durable changes and strategic implications that remain as our industry moves toward our new normal. Topics of discussion included the implications of delayed or neglected healthcare, the acute inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) found in children, the ramp-up of telehealth and impacts to behavioral health. Learn from two different perspectives ― a large pediatric health system and a regional hospital that battled a surge in a hot zone. The webinar concludes with open discussion and questions.

Speakers:

  • Dick Flanigan, MBA, FACHE, SVP, ITWorks, Cerner Corporation
  • Rossy Balmaceda, RN, BSN, Director & Client Leader, East Jefferson General Hospital
  • Matt MacVey, CHCIO, VP & CIO, Children’s National Hospital
