Patients

Empowering organizations with robust patient engagement tools

Our goal is to modernize each patient’s healthcare experience, making it easier for them to engage with their organization and care team members, strengthen patient loyalty and increase satisfaction.

Cerner recognizes that the digitalization of healthcare requires improved focus around care coordination and communication, as well as support, empowerment and access to promote patient-centered care.

Securely centralizing patient data around the individual rather than the care venue or clinician is at the heart of what we do, ensuring that the information is available to the right people at the right time. As well as providing doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other medical personnel with your data, it’s also available to the most important person in the equation – you. Through our patient portal, you can check the information you need so you can take a proactive part in looking after your health.

The Cerner HealtheLifeSM portal provides access to the health record in the hospital or across the population, secure messaging to communicate with care professionals and share information, and questionnaires for pre- and post-visits. It also gives individuals the ability to book appointments, order repeat prescriptions and other features to make their lives easier.

Meanwhile, the Cerner CareAware® device integration platform enables personal monitoring devices – individually or through aggregators – to integrate patients’ data into their EHR record. This allows care professionals to see and act on the information, contributing to their single-source-of-truth longitudinal record and counting towards quality metrics and patient goals.

Offerings

Data confidentiality and privacy

Our personal health record is one of the most valuable pieces of information we have – and Cerner is absolutely committed to ensuring it stays safe. While we believe in a world of interoperability, where clinicians have quick and intuitive access to this data when necessary, our first priority remains keeping it safe at all times.

Interoperability for patients

To ensure your health data is available to you and your providers, interoperability enables your secure, consolidated medical history to follow you as you move between hospitals, doctors and other providers to facilitate coordinated, improved care.

Virtual health

Virtual healthcare empowers individuals to manage their health and care in new ways. We are now at the tipping point where remote monitoring and meaningful, real-time interventions will fundamentally change the way populations engage in their health.
