Published on 2/14/2019

In this final installment of a three-part series on the Perspectives on Health and Tech podcast, we’re delivering insights from the showroom floor at North America’s largest health care conference. This special edition episode features seven leading experts sharing how the now and next is impacting their areas of health care. They also give their reactions to day three of the conference.

First, we hear from David Cohen, Cerner’s vice president of intellectual property development, who joins us to talk about addressing shifts in health care with artificial intelligence.

Second, HIMSS19 Social Media Ambassador Jane Sarasohn-Kahn, health economist, advisor and trend weaver, talks about the evolution of data in health care.

We also welcome David Harlow, a health care lawyer and consultant and a HIMSS19 Social Media Ambassador. He shares his thoughts on improving clinical workflows with meaningful data.

Next, Cerner’s John Gresham, senior vice president of DeviceWorks and Interoperability, stops by for a conversation around operationally aware health care.

Then, Janae Sharp, founder of The Sharp Index and a HIMSS19 Social Media Ambassador, gives her insights on advancing usability in the EHR to help combat physician burnout.

Finally, Dr. Colin Fincham, senior director and chief medical officer for Cerner’s Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific regions, and Matthew Pickett, senior director of marketing and corporate affairs for Cerner’s non-US markets, join us to discuss global health care.
