Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Cerner is transforming healthcare with help from people like you. Help us build a better, healthier tomorrow for everyone.
Our approach
Cerner's intentional approach to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is focused through the perspective of four lenses aimed at furthering a wholistic transformation for our clients, partners and associates.
Diverity and Inclusion

Marketplace
Our corporate mission is to relentlessly seek breakthrough innovation that will shape healthcare and social determinants of health of tomorrow. We focus on inclusive solutions and supporting diversity for clients.

"If the past two years have taught us anything, it’s that we must confront the disparities and inequities that exist throughout healthcare. To meet our purpose of empowering those devoted to delivering care and improving health, we need a diverse and inclusive workforce that represent the communities we serve. Our work is far from finished and Cerner is committed to cultivating programs, policies and processes that celebrate diversity in all its forms."
- David Feinberg, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, Cerner
David Feinberg, M.D.
Tracy Platt
"At Cerner, we're collectively working to create a culture and a community, built upon a common mission, where associates feel they have a voice and truly belong, so we can make a difference in the future of health care. Diverse perspectives and voices help create a seamless world where everyone thrives."
- Tracy Platt, EVP and CHRO, Cerner

"Diversity means understanding that each associate is unique. It’s about recognizing, valuing and respecting their individual dimensions, such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, generation or veteran status. Inclusion is a focus on all associates having the opportunity to be fully engaged in the workplace. They have a seat at the table where their unique perspectives and ideas are leveraged for the greater good. This is how we work together. Cerner’s strategy focuses on both. As we continue to grow and compete for a more diverse team of talented associates to serve the needs of our clients, we will also continue to prioritize an environment within our company where every person can feel comfortable contributing to the future of health care."
