We were pleased to announce that Cerner received Business Group on Health’s prestigious 2020 Helen Darling Award for Excellence in Health Care Value and Innovation.

This morning, we were pleased to announce that Cerner received Business Group on Health’s prestigious 2020 Helen Darling Award for Excellence in Health Care Value and Innovation. This recognition is awarded to leading companies who have demonstrated proven results in increasing health care value by improving quality and health outcomes.

Improving the health of communities has long been a part of Cerner’s mission, and importantly, we have always begun our work by looking inwardly at our own associate populations. Since the company’s first on-site health clinic opened in 2006, the Healthe at Cerner team has worked to shape tomorrow’s health care by providing Cerner associates and their families with access to convenient, affordable and comprehensive care.

Today, our associates and their families are empowered to live their healthiest lives through innovative and sustainable programs, and they have access to high value services and tools. By investing in health now, we can help to reduce our downstream need for care.

All of the programs and services we offer through Healthe at Cerner think about that consumer experience – our members need vetted comprehensive provider networks, support in navigating the silos, reliable information, clinically-driven and person-centric advocacy and scalable tools to connect, educate and support.

It is an honor for Cerner to be recognized by the Business Group on Health with their prestigious Helen Darling Award for Excellence in Health Care Value and Innovation.

Receiving this recognition serves as validation of the work we’ve done internally to support associate health and well-being. Specifically, the Business Group highlighted our work in the following areas:

  • Innovative Center of Excellence bariatric program
  • Implementation of a high-performance network dedicated to fertility treatments
  • Creation of a comprehensive maternity program rooted in experience, quality and evidence-based standards
  • Site of care plan design for specialty medication infusion services and coverage of specific genetic tests for cancer care based on emerging clinical evidence
  • Integration of routine depression screenings and therapists within the on-site clinic model, in addressing mental health

Our associates are our most important asset. I commend the rest of the Healthe at Cerner team for your continued support our associates and their families through high quality health and well-being benefits and services.
