Join this session to learn about the value of interoperability in home health. NorthBay Healthcare has recently implemented several interfaces, analytics and an electronic eligibility checker. Speakers from NorthBay Healthcare System and Aultman Home Care will discuss how these interfaces have impacted performance, function and operation.
3. Becoming a Data-Driven Organization on the Journey to HIMSS 7 (Session #744)
Damian Jankowicz, vice president information management, chief information officer and chief privacy officer at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
Over the last five years, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) has transformed itself into a data-driven organization by leveraging data from its Cerner Millennium® system and extensive research enterprise to advance clinical care and brain science. In this session, Damian Jankowicz will discuss strategic and tactical elements required for the transformation. He will also present a number of case studies in which data is used to drive care, including computerized physician order entry, closed loop medication administration and care planning, as well as specialized examples. The transformation is presented in the context of the journey to HIMSS 7.
Jankowicz leads information management and technology, scientific computing, the enterprise project management office and the business intelligence portfolio for CAMH, the biggest academic mental health and addictions science center in Canada.
